Yustinus Ghanggo Ate (A.K.A. Yanche) is a researcher and faculty member at STKIP Weetebula.
His research interests are descriptive linguistics, language documentation, theoretical linguistics (paradigm-based analysis and lexically-based analysis), language typology, Austronesian linguistics, and mother tongue-based education.
He has been both a research assistant and researcher for different international research projects funded by several institutions such as Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History (Jena, Germany), National Science Foundation, US, Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung, Germany, Australian Research Council and NeCTAR (National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources).
He has thought carefully about what he has learned and researched in linguistics can be applied to training Sumba people in vernacular literacy and local language based development related to health communication and better communication in respect to agriculture and economy.
